The warm weather is finally here! We’re always excited about this time of year because summer events in Niagara are something you don’t want to miss. The Niagara community loves showcasing what the region has to offer. Local residents and people outside of the community alike are all welcome to enjoy these fantastic summer events, and many of them draw in visitors from all over the country.
Events in the Vineyards
Wine is one of Niagara’s most prized exports. We love celebrating the people who work hard in the Vineyards and the wine they produce. The following are some great Niagara events taking place in our beautiful wineries.
Trius Red Presents
On July 14th, Trius Winery is hosting Trius Red Presents: Rock at the Winery. This tribute concert welcomes wine lovers to enjoy favourite hits from AC/DC and KISS. This unique event is a perfect example of the fun lifestyle that Niagara has to offer.
That’s not the end of the concerts at Trius. On August 11th they are hosting Trius Red Presents: Blues at the Winery. Trius invites guests to bring a lawn chair and a blanket and enjoy a Blues concert with great friends at their beautiful winery.
Shades of Summer
To celebrate the peach harvest, Niagara-on-the-Lake transforms its historic Queen Street into a wining and dining experience for Shades of Summer. On August 13, from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, tables and chairs will be set up for groups of 8, and you can reserve your table in advance. You bring dinner, tableware, and cutlery, and you can pre-order from a list of delicious local wines that will be waiting for you upon arrival. Live music will be provided for entertainment if you feel like bringing your dancing shoes.
Party in the Vineyard: Wine Country Fare
Peller Estates will be hosting Party in the Vineyard: Wine Country Fare on August 25th. This is an event at their winery featuring live music from Canadian country band, the Road Hammers. If you enjoy country concerts with great people, this is the event for you.
Supper Markets are a hit among Niagara residents. At these events you can purchase local food from food trucks. Favourite wineries and breweries from Niagara often set up tents at these markets for attendees to enjoy while listening to live music. Since these events are outdoors, they are pet friendly.
Niagara is home to three different supper markets. On Tuesdays, you can attend the Port Dalhousie supper market at Lakeside Park. Niagara-on-the-Lake hosts a supper market on Wednesdays at the Farmer’s Market @ The Village. On Thursday, you can experience Pelham at their supper market at Peace Park.
